Mission Statement

Griffin Middle Academy will prepare all students for academic success.

Vision Statement

Griffin Middle Academy educators will manage the classroom so as to promote a positive productive climate in which each student’s academic, social and technical skills are developed for higher order learning to prepare them for competing in a technologically advanced society. We will bolster technical education for every student to communicate on the information super highway. We will explore changing students’ needs, to provide new improved pathways leading to transition-to-high school, and facilities accommodations for student’s future needs and their varied learning styles for the Twenty-first Century.

Philosophical Beliefs

Students should have opportunities to acquire the technological knowledge and skills necessary to compete in a global economy.

A person’s ability to use and apply technology appropriately is basic to economic and social prosperity as are reading, writing and arithmetic.

The appropriate integration of technology with standards-based curricula and instructional management enhances students learning.

All educators will have access to appropriate training and staff development for the technology provided in their classrooms in order to effectively improve student achievement.

Both parental involvement and community participation are necessary to promote technology in the classroom.
