Retirement
The La. Department of Education is a Louisiana State Employees Retirement Agency. All employees of East Carroll Parish School System are members of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL). The employee’s required contribution to TRSL is currently 7.5% of the gross salary. In addition, the State is currently contributing 15.8% to our retirement fund.
Group Insurance
The East Carroll Parish School Board makes health, dental, and other insurance plans available to all of its employees which may include dependent coverage, if needed. Information about the available plans can be obtained from the East Carroll Parish School Board Business Office.
Leave
Permanent full-time employees earn sick and annual leave which can be accumulated and used as needed.
